Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rhinitease-P is a combination nasal spray developed by Shayana Farm for the management of allergic rhinitis and associated nasal congestion. It is a fixed-dose formulation containing fluticasone propionate, a synthetic corticosteroid, and phenylephrine hydrochloride, a sympathomimetic decongestant. Fluticasone propionate acts as a potent glucocorticoid receptor agonist, reducing airway inflammation by inhibiting the release of various inflammatory mediators and cytokines. Phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, inducing vasoconstriction of the nasal mucosa to provide rapid relief from nasal blockage. The product is administered as a metered nasal spray, offering a dual-action approach to both the underlying inflammatory cause and the immediate symptoms of rhinitis.
