Overview

FS MDPI (fluticasone propionate/salmeterol multidose dry powder inhaler), marketed under the brand name AirDuo RespiClick, is a fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Teva Pharmaceuticals for the maintenance treatment of persistent asthma in patients aged 12 years and older. The product contains fluticasone propionate, an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that acts as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist to reduce airway inflammation, and salmeterol xinafoate, a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) that provides bronchodilation by stimulating beta2-adrenergic receptors. FS MDPI is delivered via Teva's RespiClick device, a breath-actuated, multidose dry powder inhaler that simplifies administration by eliminating the need for hand-breath coordination. It is administered twice daily and is not intended for the treatment of acute bronchospasm.
