Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SP0287 (Fluzone HD + Nuvaxovid) is a combination vaccine candidate developed by Sanofi in collaboration with Novavax. It combines Sanofi's Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent, an inactivated influenza vaccine designed for adults aged 65 and older, with Novavax's Nuvaxovid (NVX-CoV2373), a protein-based, adjuvanted COVID-19 vaccine. The combination aims to provide simultaneous protection against seasonal influenza and SARS-CoV-2. The vaccine utilizes Novavax's recombinant spike protein technology and Matrix-M adjuvant alongside Sanofi's high-dose hemagglutinin antigens to elicit a robust immune response in the elderly population. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
