Fluzopanib + bevacizumab is a combination therapy consisting of fluzopanib, a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). This combination is designed to provide dual inhibition of angiogenesis pathways in cancer treatment. Fluzopanib inhibits multiple receptor tyrosine kinases involved in tumor angiogenesis and proliferation, while bevacizumab binds VEGF-A to prevent its interaction with receptors on the surface of endothelial cells, thereby inhibiting new blood vessel formation essential for tumor growth.
