This combination therapy consists of three agents: **fluzoparib**, **abiraterone acetate**, and **prednisone**. Fluzoparib is an oral PARP (poly ADP-ribose polymerase) inhibitor that interferes with DNA repair in cancer cells, particularly those with deficient homologous recombination, leading to increased cell death. Abiraterone acetate is a prodrug of abiraterone, which inhibits the enzyme CYP17A1 and blocks androgen biosynthesis—a key driver in prostate cancer progression. Prednisone is a corticosteroid used in this combination to mitigate the mineralocorticoid-related side effects associated with abiraterone, as well as to provide anti-inflammatory and possibly modest antitumor effects. This combination is being investigated as an induction regimen in prostate cancer, specifically metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)[5].
