Overview

fluzoparib + QL1101 is a combination therapy being investigated for the maintenance treatment of advanced epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and primary peritoneal cancer. The combination consists of fluzoparib (also known as fuzuloparib), an orally active small molecule inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1), and QL1101, a monoclonal antibody that serves as a biosimilar to bevacizumab, targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). Fluzoparib works by inhibiting PARP1, an enzyme critical for DNA single-strand break repair, which leads to double-strand breaks and synthetic lethality in tumors with homologous recombination deficiencies. QL1101 acts as an anti-angiogenic agent by binding to VEGF-A and preventing its interaction with receptors, thereby inhibiting the growth of tumor blood vessels. This combination is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial led by Yongpeng Wang for patients who have achieved a response following first-line platinum-containing chemotherapy.
