Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Folic acid + methylcobalamin + pyridoxine (marketed under the brand name NLYN MD by Opsiscare Lifesciences) is a fixed-dose combination of three essential B-vitamins: folic acid (vitamin B9), methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). It is approved and marketed in India as a nutritional supplement and therapeutic agent to manage anemia, folate deficiency, and neuropathies, and to prevent neural tube defects during pregnancy. Folic acid supports DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation; methylcobalamin acts as a cofactor for methionine synthase to promote myelin sheath synthesis and nerve regeneration; and pyridoxine is essential for amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis.
