Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) + luteinizing hormone (LH) refers to a combination of two gonadotropins used in assisted reproductive technology (ART) to stimulate ovarian follicle development. This combination mimics the endogenous action of the two pituitary gonadotropins: FSH, which promotes the recruitment and growth of multiple follicles, and LH, which supports follicular steroidogenesis and final maturation. In clinical practice, such as in the real-world 'FOLLITROPIN' study (NCT04854707), recombinant FSH biosimilars like **Primapur** (follitropin alpha, developed by **IVFarma**) are often used either alone or in combination with LH-containing preparations to optimize ovarian response, particularly in patients with profound gonadotropin deficiency or poor ovarian reserve. The combination is typically administered via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
