Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Follitropin delta + hMG is a combination gonadotropin regimen used for controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Follitropin delta (Rekovelle) is a recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) produced in a human cell line (PER.C6), which allows for individualized dosing based on a patient's serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels and body weight. Human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG, e.g., Menopur) is a purified extract from the urine of postmenopausal women that contains both FSH and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity. By combining these two agents, the regimen provides comprehensive stimulation of both FSH and LH receptors, aiming to optimize follicular development, oocyte yield, and embryo quality, particularly in populations such as advanced-age women who may benefit from LH supplementation.
