Fondaparinux + heparin refers to the combination of two anticoagulant drugs used to prevent and treat blood clots. Fondaparinux is a synthetic pentasaccharide that selectively inhibits coagulation factor X by potentiating antithrombin III (ATIII), thereby interrupting the coagulation cascade and inhibiting thrombin formation[1][4][5][6].
