Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Forceval + vitamin D3 is a combination dietary supplement consisting of the multivitamin and mineral formulation "Forceval" together with additional vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). \n**Forceval** is a comprehensive multivitamin and mineral product containing 24 essential vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Its active ingredients include vitamins A (as β-carotene), B-complex (B1, B2, B6, B12), C, D2 (ergocalciferol), E, biotin, nicotinamide, pantothenic acid, folic acid; minerals such as calcium, iron, copper, phosphorous, magnesium, potassium; trace elements like zinc, iodine, manganese selenium chromium molybdenum[1][5][7]. The primary mechanism of action is nutritional supplementation to correct or prevent deficiencies in these nutrients. \n**Vitamin D3** (cholecalciferol) is not present in standard Forceval capsules—these contain only vitamin D2—so this combination refers to co-administration or a custom formulation that includes both the full spectrum of Forceval's nutrients plus supplemental cholecalciferol. Vitamin D3 acts by increasing intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate for bone health[9]. \nThis combination may be used as adjunctive therapy where there are increased requirements for vitamins/minerals or risk/diagnosis of deficiency—such as during recovery from illness/surgery or in patients with restricted diets—and specifically addresses situations where additional vitamin D3 supplementation is clinically indicated.
