Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FP-01.1 + placebo refers to the combination of the investigational vaccine FP-01.1 and a matching placebo as used in randomized controlled clinical trials for influenza A prevention and immunogenicity studies. FP-01.1 is a novel synthetic peptide-based pan-influenza A vaccine composed of six fluorocarbon-modified 35-mer peptides that encapsulate multiple CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell epitopes from influenza A virus proteins, designed to induce broad cellular immune responses across diverse populations[2][3][5]. The mechanism involves stimulating both CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses, leading to robust anti-viral immunity with cross-recognition of divergent influenza strains[2]. Placebo is an inert substance used as a control in these studies.
