FP253 + fludarabine is an investigational drug combination being studied for cancer therapy. FP253 (also known as FP-253) is a small molecule agonist of sphingosine 1-phosphate receptors (S1PRs), developed by Foreland Pharma. Its mechanism involves S1PR activation, which may modulate immune cell trafficking and other cellular processes relevant to oncology. Fludarabine is a purine analog antimetabolite used primarily in the treatment of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It inhibits DNA polymerase alpha, ribonucleotide reductase, and DNA primase—thereby blocking DNA synthesis and leading to cancer cell death[1][2][3][8]. The combination has been investigated in early-phase clinical trials for prostate cancer[4].
