Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yidukangda is a freeze-dried human rabies vaccine (Vero cell) developed and manufactured by Shandong Yidu Biotechnology. It is an inactivated viral vaccine produced by cultivating the rabies fixed virus (CTN-1V strain) in Vero cells, followed by concentration, purification, and inactivation with beta-propiolactone. The vaccine is indicated for post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent rabies infection following animal bites or scratches, as well as for pre-exposure immunization in high-risk individuals. It functions by stimulating the host immune system to produce specific neutralizing antibodies that neutralize the rabies virus before it can enter the central nervous system. The product was approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and is supplied as a freeze-dried powder for intramuscular injection.
