fresh frozen plasma + vincristine

A combination therapy using fresh frozen plasma (FFP) and vincristine sulfate. This combination has been proposed as a treatment for certain blood disorders, particularly autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura (ATP) and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). A synergistic effect between vincristine and FFP has been observed, making this combination potentially more effective than either component alone. For chronic ATP, it has been proposed as an alternative to intravenous gamma globulin (IV Ig). For TTP, large volumes of FFP have been shown to lead to remission, and when combined with vincristine, consistent therapeutic responses have been observed. This approach may provide a rational and economical alternative to IV Ig in treating chronic ATP in adults.
