Overview

**FT-1101 + azacitidine** is an investigational combination therapy targeting hematologic malignancies, specifically acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). FT-1101 is a **bromodomain and extraterminal domain (BET) protein inhibitor**, which interferes with the activity of BET proteins involved in regulating genes essential for cancer cell survival and proliferation. Azacitidine is a **hypomethylating agent** that incorporates into DNA/RNA and inhibits DNA methyltransferase, leading to DNA hypomethylation and reactivation of silenced genes. The combination is being explored to enhance antileukemic activity through complementary epigenetic modification and transcriptional regulation. The primary indications under investigation include AML and MDS. The therapy is being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials for safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy[1].
