Overview

FT536 + trastuzumab is a **combination therapy** for advanced or metastatic solid tumors that express **human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)**. FT536 is a multiplexed-engineered, off-the-shelf **induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived natural killer (NK) cell product** featuring a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the pan-tumor stress antigens **MICA/B**. Its engineering also enhances CD16-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Trastuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets HER2. The combination leverages FT536's direct cytotoxicity and trastuzumab's ability to recruit NK cells for ADCC, yielding superior anti-tumor activity and addressing tumor heterogeneity. This is being investigated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for multiple solid tumor indications, including breast cancer, NSCLC, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, and others, specifically in tumors with documented HER2 overexpression[1][2][3].
