Overview

FTP-002 + FTP-501 is an investigational combination therapy developed by Fastox Pharma for the aesthetic treatment of glabellar lines (frown lines). The product utilizes Fastox's proprietary FAST (Fast-Acting Short-duration Toxin) technology, which combines FTP-501—a recombinant botulinum toxin type A (BoNT/A)—with FTP-002, a proprietary small molecule enhancer. This combination is designed to provide a significantly faster onset of action (within hours to a few days) and a shorter duration of effect (weeks) compared to conventional botulinum toxin products. The mechanism of action involves the toxin's endopeptidase activity, which specifically cleaves the SNAP-25 protein within the SNARE complex, thereby inhibiting the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction and inducing temporary muscle paralysis. This profile is intended to address the needs of patients seeking rapid results or those who prefer a shorter-lived effect.
