Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fulvestrant + trastuzumab is a combination therapy for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. Fulvestrant is an estrogen receptor antagonist that degrades the estrogen receptor, while trastuzumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting the HER2/neu (ERBB2) receptor. This combination has shown moderate clinical efficacy and no severe toxicity in patients who have previously received standard anti-HER2 therapy[1]. The primary indication is for advanced or metastatic breast cancer with both hormone receptor and HER2 positivity.
