Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FURESTEM-OA + CAM (branded as FURESTEM-OA Kit Inj.) is a combination biologic therapy developed by Kangstem Biotech in collaboration with Heraeus Medical for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. The product consists of two components: FURESTEM-OA Inj., which contains allogeneic umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UCB-MSCs), and CAM Inj., a secondary solution. These components are mixed in a disposable syringe and administered as a single intra-articular injection into the knee joint cavity. The therapy is designed to promote cartilage regeneration and reduce inflammation in patients with Kellgren-Lawrence grade 2-3 knee osteoarthritis who have not responded to conservative treatments. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/IIa clinical trials to determine safety, efficacy, and optimal dosing.
