furosemide + salbutamol

A combination therapy consisting of nebulized furosemide and salbutamol (albuterol). Furosemide, traditionally known as a loop diuretic, demonstrates bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory effects when nebulized. Salbutamol is a short-acting, selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. When combined, these medications show enhanced efficacy in improving respiratory parameters in patients with COPD and reactive airway disease. The combination therapy has been shown to significantly improve spirometry indices including FEV1, FVC, and FEV1/FVC ratios, as well as reduce dyspnea scores compared to either agent alone.
