Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gallium (68Ga) boclatixafortide (PentixaFor) is a gallium-68-labeled radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent that targets the C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4). It is a cyclic pentapeptide conjugated to a DOTA chelator and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope gallium-68. PentixaFor is developed by Pentixapharm (a spin-off of Eckert & Ziegler) for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It is primarily being developed for the diagnosis and subtyping of primary aldosteronism (PA) in patients with hypertension, as well as for staging and monitoring of hematological malignancies such as multiple myeloma, marginal zone lymphoma, and central nervous system lymphoma, and other CXCR4-expressing conditions like Cushing's syndrome.
