gamaline + hipericin

gamaline + hipericin is a phytotherapeutic combination consisting of standardized extracts of *Borago officinalis* (Borage oil, branded as Gamaline) and *Hypericum perforatum* (St. John's Wort, branded as Hipericin). Gamaline is rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a precursor to prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), which helps mitigate the inflammatory and hormonal fluctuations associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Hipericin contains active compounds such as hypericin and hyperforin that act as non-selective reuptake inhibitors of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, providing antidepressant and anxiolytic effects. The combination was evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials (NCT01365676 and NCT01283568) for the treatment of PMS and vasomotor symptoms in both reproductive-age and premenopausal women, aiming to address both the physical and psychological components of these conditions.
