A combination therapy consisting of **ganitumab** (also known as AMG 479), **paclitaxel**, and **carboplatin**. Ganitumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R), blocking IGF-I and IGF-II binding and thereby inhibiting downstream signaling, such as PI3K/AKT pathway, which can lead to reduced tumor growth and increased apoptosis. Paclitaxel is a microtubule inhibitor that promotes microtubule assembly and inhibits disassembly, leading to apoptosis. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that crosslinks DNA, inhibiting replication and resulting in apoptosis. This combination is investigated mainly for use in **ovarian cancer** and other solid tumors, as preclinical and clinical studies demonstrate additive or synergistic antitumor activity when ganitumab is combined with paclitaxel or carboplatin[4].
