Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gardasil 9 + MenVeo is a combination of two vaccines administered concomitantly to provide protection against both human papillomavirus (HPV) and invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135. Gardasil 9 is a recombinant vaccine that targets nine HPV types (6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58), preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases by inducing neutralizing antibodies against the L1 protein of these HPV types. MenVeo is a quadrivalent conjugate vaccine containing oligosaccharides from Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A/C/Y/W-135 conjugated to the CRM197 protein; it works by inducing bactericidal antibodies against these serogroups. Both vaccines are indicated for use in adolescents and young adults. Clinical studies have shown that coadministration does not interfere with immunogenicity or safety profiles of either vaccine[2][5][7].
