Overview

GC FLU Quadrivalent (GC3110A) is a quadrivalent, split-virion, inactivated influenza vaccine developed by Green Cross Corporation (GC Biopharma). Produced using fertilized chicken eggs, the vaccine contains purified hemagglutinin (HA) antigens from four influenza virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). This quadrivalent formulation is designed to provide broader protection than traditional trivalent vaccines by including a second B-lineage strain, addressing the challenge of predicting which B lineage will predominate in a given season. The vaccine is indicated for the prevention of seasonal influenza in individuals aged 6 months and older and has been approved for use in South Korea.
