Overview

GC203 + PD-1 antibody is a combination immunotherapy regimen consisting of autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor. GC203, developed by GC Cell, involves the isolation of T cells from a patient's tumor tissue, followed by ex vivo expansion and activation before re-infusion. The addition of a PD-1 antibody aims to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment by blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway, thereby preventing T-cell exhaustion and enhancing the anti-tumor activity of the infused TILs. This combination is primarily being investigated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), where it seeks to provide a more robust and durable immune response than monotherapy.
