Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GCAR + SCL is an investigational combination immunotherapy developed by Exuma Biotechnology for the treatment of Large B-Cell Lymphoma (LBCL). The therapy combines GCAR, a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD19 antigen, with SCL, an mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) designed to enhance or regulate CAR-T cell activity. GCAR provides the primary therapeutic effect by engineering T cells to recognize and eliminate CD19-positive malignant B cells. The SCL component is intended to modulate the CAR-T cells' persistence, potency, or safety profile. This dual-component approach aims to improve the efficacy and durability of responses in patients with aggressive B-cell lymphomas. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
