Overview

GD2-targeted CAR-T cells (Sinobioway) is an autologous cell-based gene therapy designed for the treatment of pediatric patients with relapsed or refractory neuroblastoma. The therapy utilizes a patient's own T cells, which are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific to the disialoganglioside GD2, a glycolipid antigen highly expressed on the surface of most neuroblastoma cells. Upon infusion, these engineered CAR-T cells facilitate a targeted immune response against the tumor by recognizing and binding to GD2-positive cells, resulting in cytotoxic destruction of the tumor cells. The product is undergoing clinical evaluation, primarily through Phase II multicenter studies, to assess its safety, persistence, and efficacy in improving survival outcomes for high-risk neuroblastoma patients.
