Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog), carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent), and nivolumab (an immune checkpoint inhibitor). The combination is being investigated for the treatment of various cancers, including urothelial cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Nivolumab is a fully human immunoglobulin G4 PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor antibody that blocks the interaction between PD-1 receptors on T cells and PD ligands 1 and 2 (PD-L1/PD-L2), restoring T-cell antitumor function.
