A combination therapy consisting of: 1. **Gemcitabine** - A nucleoside analog chemotherapy drug that works by interfering with DNA synthesis 2. **Cisplatin** - A platinum-based chemotherapy agent that crosslinks DNA, preventing cell division 3. **Panitumumab** - A fully human monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) The PiCCA study (Panitumumab in Combination with Cisplatin/Gemcitabine) was a randomized clinical trial that evaluated this combination specifically in KRAS wild-type biliary tract cancer patients. The study aimed to determine if adding panitumumab to the standard cisplatin/gemcitabine chemotherapy would improve outcomes.
