Gemcitabine + docetaxel + doxorubicin is a triple-drug combination chemotherapy regimen investigated for the treatment of advanced, unresectable, or metastatic sarcomas, particularly uterine leiomyosarcoma, as well as breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. The regimen combines three distinct mechanisms of action: gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis; docetaxel is a taxane that stabilizes microtubules to arrest cell division; and doxorubicin is an anthracycline that intercalates DNA and inhibits topoisomerase II.
