Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of gemcitabine, nedaplatin, and bronchial arterial infusion (BAI) delivery method. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor that works by replacing building blocks of nucleic acids during DNA elongation, arresting tumor growth and promoting apoptosis of malignant cells. Nedaplatin is a platinum derivative similar to cisplatin but with potentially reduced toxicity. The combination is administered via bronchial arterial infusion, a technique that delivers chemotherapy directly to the tumor site through the bronchial artery.
