Gemcitabine + trabectedin is a combination chemotherapy regimen that has been investigated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, particularly soft tissue sarcomas. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that works by replacing the building blocks of nucleic acids during DNA elongation, arresting tumor growth and promoting apoptosis of malignant cells[3].
