Overview

Gene-modified SQ-SHED (Spinal Cord Injury) is an experimental gene-modified cell therapy being developed by Kidswell Bio (formerly Gene Techno Science) and its subsidiary, S-Quatre Corporation, in collaboration with Nagoya University. The therapy utilizes the SQ-SHED platform, which consists of high-quality Stem cells from Human Exfoliated Deciduous teeth (SHED). In this specific program, the SHED cells are genetically modified with an undisclosed gene, referred to as 'Gene X', to enhance their therapeutic potential for treating spinal cord injury. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, aiming to leverage the regenerative and neuroprotective properties of modified stem cells to repair neural damage.
