Overview

gevokizumab + ramucirumab + paclitaxel is an investigational combination therapy consisting of three agents: gevokizumab (a recombinant monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-1β), ramucirumab (a human IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 [VEGFR2]), and paclitaxel (a chemotherapeutic taxane which promotes microtubule stabilization leading to mitotic arrest and apoptosis). The combination aims to attack tumors via complementary mechanisms: inhibition of angiogenesis (ramucirumab), suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling (gevokizumab), and direct cytotoxicity by microtubule stabilization (paclitaxel). This regimen is under study for advanced solid tumors, including gastric and gastroesophageal cancers.
