Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Giredestrant + triptorelin is a combination therapy consisting of an oral selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) and a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) agonist. Giredestrant works by degrading estrogen receptors, effectively blocking estrogen signaling in breast cancer cells, while triptorelin suppresses ovarian function in premenopausal women, reducing estrogen production. This combination is being investigated primarily for the treatment of estrogen receptor-positive (ER+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) early breast cancer in premenopausal women.
