Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GLK-302 (Ilution) is an investigational transdermal/periocular drug delivery platform being developed by Intratus in partnership with Glaukos for the treatment of presbyopia. The platform utilizes a patented cream-based formulation applied to the outer surface of the eyelid, which acts as a depot for the transdermal delivery of pilocarpine to the eye. This approach provides a non-invasive, dropless alternative to traditional topical eye drops. Pilocarpine, the active pharmaceutical ingredient, is a small molecule muscarinic receptor agonist that induces miosis (pupillary constriction), thereby increasing the depth of focus and improving near vision in patients with presbyopia.
