Overview

**glucagon + oxymetazoline** is a theoretical combination drug comprising **glucagon** and **oxymetazoline**. Glucagon is a peptide hormone used as an emergency treatment for severe hypoglycemia; it increases blood glucose by stimulating hepatic glucose production via activation of the glucagon receptor. Oxymetazoline is a small molecule alpha-adrenergic agonist used as a topical nasal decongestant and vasoconstrictor; it acts on alpha-1A, alpha-2A, alpha-2B, and other adrenergic receptors to cause vasoconstriction and reduce symptoms of nasal congestion, facial erythema, and ptosis[1][2]. No known marketed or clinically investigated product combines these two substances as a single drug; there are no identified clinical indications or manufacturers for this combination.
