Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nozohaem is a topical intranasal gel developed and marketed by Actor Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of mild to moderate epistaxis (nosebleeds). The formulation contains glycine and calcium, which work synergistically to stop bleeding. The gel exerts gentle mechanical pressure on the nasal mucosa's bleeding vessels while the calcium ions support the body's natural coagulation cascade. It is designed to be a non-invasive, easy-to-use alternative to traditional nasal packing, drying away naturally once the bleeding has ceased. It is approved for use in adults and children over seven years old.
