Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GMA202 is a Trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (TROP2)-targeting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Gmax Biopharm International. TROP2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various epithelial carcinomas, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), ovarian cancer, and prostate cancer, while maintaining limited expression in normal tissues. GMA202 is designed to bind specifically to TROP2 on the surface of malignant cells, leading to internalization of the ADC and subsequent release of a cytotoxic payload within the cell to induce apoptosis. The drug is currently in early-stage clinical development for the treatment of solid tumors.
