Overview

A granzyme-B targeted [64Cu]-labeled PET radiotracer is a diagnostic imaging agent developed by Ratio Therapeutics (specifically candidates RTX-4001 and RTX-4002) designed to visualize immune cell activity. The tracer targets Granzyme B (GzmB), a serine protease released by activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells to induce apoptosis in target cells. By binding to GzmB, the tracer allows for the non-invasive assessment of the immune response within the tumor microenvironment using Positron Emission Tomography (PET). The use of the Copper-64 (64Cu) isotope provides a half-life suitable for imaging biological processes over several hours, potentially serving as a predictive biomarker for response to cancer immunotherapies such as checkpoint inhibitors.
