Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GS-3583 + docetaxel is an investigational combination regimen consisting of **GS-3583**, a novel FLT3 agonist Fc fusion protein, and **docetaxel**, a well-established taxane chemotherapy. GS-3583 acts by agonizing Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) on myeloid and lymphoid progenitor cells, resulting in the expansion of conventional dendritic cells (cDCs), including cDC1 and cDC2, in the periphery and potentially in the tumor microenvironment. This dendritic cell mobilization is intended to enhance T-cell mediated antitumor immunity in patients with solid tumors[1][2][3][4][5][8]. Docetaxel disrupts microtubule dynamics by stabilizing GDP-bound tubulin in the microtubule, inhibiting cell division and inducing apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. The combination is under clinical investigation, in particular for advanced solid tumors and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), where GS-3583 is given intravenously alongside docetaxel.
