Overview
GSK's HBsAg vaccine with AS37 adjuvant is a recombinant Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) vaccine developed by GSK. It is designed to induce an immune response against the Hepatitis B virus. The vaccine incorporates GSK's AS37 adjuvant system, which is a small-molecule immune potentiator (SMIP) acting as a Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) agonist, adsorbed to aluminum salts. This adjuvant aims to enhance and modulate the immune response to the HBsAg. The vaccine is being studied for its safety and immunogenicity in healthy, HBs naïve adults aged 18-45 years, with the goal of providing protective immunity against Hepatitis B.
