Overview

GSK2392103A is an investigational 4-component biological vaccine developed by GSK for the prevention of *Staphylococcus aureus* infections. The vaccine consists of four antigens: alpha-toxin (Hla), clumping factor A (ClfA), and capsular polysaccharides CP5 and CP8, which are conjugated to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein. It is formulated with the AS03B adjuvant, an oil-in-water emulsion. The vaccine was designed to elicit both humoral and cellular immune responses against key virulence factors of *S. aureus*. Development reached Phase 1 clinical testing (NCT01160172) in healthy adults to assess safety and immunogenicity, but the program was discontinued following the completion of the trial in 2012.
