Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Guizhi Fuling Wan (GFW) is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula composed of five herbs: *Cinnamomi Ramulus* (Guizhi), *Poria* (Fuling), *Paeoniae Radix* (Shaoyao), *Moutan Cortex* (Mudanpi), and *Persicae Semen* (Taoren). Traditionally used to treat blood stasis patterns, particularly in gynecological conditions such as uterine fibroids and endometriosis, GFW has been investigated for broader applications. Research indicates it may inhibit the growth of various cancers, including bladder and hepatocellular carcinoma, by inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. It is also being studied for its potential in treating diabetic cerebrovascular disease and minimal brain lesions in patients with type 2 diabetes.
