Overview

GX-I7 + cyclophosphamide is an investigational combination therapy consisting of GX-I7, a long-acting recombinant human interleukin-7 fused with hybrid Fc (efineptakin alfa), and cyclophosphamide, an alkylating chemotherapy agent. GX-I7 acts as an immune modulator by expanding circulating and tumor-infiltrating T cells, aiming to correct T-cell deficiency and enhance anti-tumor responses. Cyclophosphamide, while primarily cytotoxic and immunosuppressive at higher doses, can deplete regulatory T cells at lower doses, potentially enhancing immune responses. The combination is being studied in patients with metastatic or recurrent solid tumors to determine whether pre-conditioning with cyclophosphamide can further potentiate the immunostimulatory and anti-tumor effects of GX-I7.
