While the Gynomunal brand is primarily established as a treatment for vaginal dryness and atrophic vaginitis, this specific formulation was investigated for its cosmetic anti-aging effects on facial wrinkles. In a Phase 4 clinical trial (NCT01948531), the gel was tested on healthy female volunteers to assess its impact on skin hydration, elasticity, and wrinkle depth. The product's efficacy is attributed to its humectant properties, likely derived from hyaluronic acid, which helps to plump the skin and improve its overall texture through both immediate and long-term application.
