Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC), durvalumab, tremelimumab, and bevacizumab. - **HAIC** is a locoregional chemotherapy technique where chemotherapeutic agents are delivered directly into the hepatic artery to target liver tumors, commonly used in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). - **Durvalumab** is a human monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), blocking its interaction with PD-1 and CD80 to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. - **Tremelimumab** is a human monoclonal antibody targeting cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), promoting T-cell activation and priming the immune response against cancer cells[4][6][7]. - **Bevacizumab** is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby suppressing angiogenesis required for tumor growth. This multi-modal regimen aims to combine direct cytotoxic effects on liver tumors via HAIC with systemic immunotherapy and antiangiogenic therapy for synergistic efficacy in advanced or unresectable HCC.
