Overview
**Halometasone + triclosan** is a fixed-dose topical cream combining halometasone, a potent synthetic glucocorticoid, with triclosan, a broad-spectrum antiseptic. Halometasone activates the glucocorticoid receptor to suppress cutaneous inflammation, pruritus, and immune signaling, while triclosan provides local antibacterial activity. The combination is used for corticosteroid-responsive inflammatory dermatoses complicated by, or prone to, superficial bacterial infection, including acute infected eczema and atopic dermatitis. Marketed products include Sicorten Plus and the Chinese product 新适确得.
